Your privacy

Baskt operates this waitlist and is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect the email address you submit to join the waitlist. We use it to send a one-time verification code, confirm your email, maintain your waitlist entry and position, and send the updates described in this Policy. Verification codes are held temporarily while verification is pending and expire after 10 minutes.

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider may also process technical connection data in standard server logs.

How we use information

We use your email to verify your signup, manage your waitlist entry and position, send Baskt news and early-access opportunities, respond to requests, protect the site, prevent misuse, and meet legal obligations.

Email communications

We send a one-time verification email when you join. If you verify your email, we may also send waitlist updates, launch news, early-access opportunities, and related product updates. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email. Unsubscribing removes your entry from the active waitlist and stops future Baskt updates. We retain a limited opt-out record so we can honor your choice; verification or other service emails needed to complete a pending request may still be sent.

Legal basis for processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar requirements, our legal basis for processing your email address is your consent, given when you submit it to join the waitlist. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

International data transfers

Baskt is based in the United States, and our service providers may process and store information in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers of personal information outside your home jurisdiction.

Service providers

We use Resend to deliver verification emails and Supabase to store verified waitlist entries. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics (provided by Google) processes information about your visit to help us understand how the site is used. These providers process information on our behalf to provide their services. The site host may also process information needed to serve and secure the website. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, to receive a copy of it in a portable format, or to object to or limit certain processing. If you are a California resident, this includes the right to know what personal information we collect and why, the right to delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information, so no opt-out is necessary. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may also withdraw marketing consent at any time by unsubscribing.

To exercise any of these rights, email Basktapp@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days, or within any shorter period required by applicable law. We may need to verify your request before acting on it, and we may retain information when required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as honoring your opt-out.

Cookies and tracking signals

With your permission, this site uses Google Analytics cookies to measure how the site is used. Analytics cookies are only set after you click “Accept” on the cookie banner; if you click “Decline,” no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is saved in your browser. To change or withdraw it later, clear Baskt’s saved site data in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit. We do not use advertising cookies. This site does not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Our hosting provider may use essential, non-tracking technical logs needed to operate the site.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention

We keep verified waitlist email addresses until you unsubscribe or the Baskt app launches. When you unsubscribe, we remove your entry from the active waitlist and retain a limited opt-out record to prevent future marketing messages. After launch, we will delete waitlist contact entries unless we must retain limited information for legal, security, or opt-out recordkeeping purposes.

Children’s privacy

The waitlist is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can address it.

Policy changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as Baskt’s waitlist and communications change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the date above. Your continued use of the waitlist after an update means the updated Policy applies to your use of the page.
